CREC/LSHTM has found indoor residual spraying with chlorfenapyr (Sylando® 240SC) to provide moderate but prolonged control of pyrethroid-resistant malaria vectors compared to pyrethroid and bendiocarb IRS. And recommends that WHO guidelines on residual cone bioassays need to be more insecticide-specific. Access the article by Ngufor et al 2020, from Malaria Journal via this link.
World Malaria Day 2022 | “Harness innovation to reduce the malaria disease burden and save lives.” Innovations in vector control interventions are very promising. We celebrate today by sharing with you this slide show from CREC/LSHTM, discussing the major challenges facing malaria vector control today. #WorldMalariaDay | #vectorcontrol | www.crec-lshtm.org
