INTERNATIONAL UPDATES | WHO recommends RTS,S/AS01 malaria vaccine for children at risk. "Using this vaccine on top of existing tools to prevent malaria could save tens of thousands of young lives each year." - WHO Director. To effectively control malaria and increase our chances to eliminate the disease, vaccines must not be seen as the silver bullet but as an add-on to other effective interventions such as ITNs and IRS.
